After your partner opens the bidding 0NE NO TRUMP
TRANSFERS TELL!
“I have 5 or more in the NEXT HIGHER SUIT!” Responder Bids the suit below their REAL Suit.
If your suit is ♥’s, bid ♦’s!
If your suit is ♠’s, bid ♥’s!
Opener(1NT) will alert (announce) to the opponents by saying – “Transfer”. Opener then bids the next higher suit when their turn comes
Responder —-PUT your hand in one of three categories based on your total points:
0 to 7 — NO GAME – RESPONDER IS THE CAPTAIN —you know partnership belongs in part-score.

SIGNOFF Transfer to your 5 card major then pass once Opener makes the transfer
With no LONG SUIT in your hand for a transfer, just pass opener’s one no trump! ****Remember you cannot show a long club suit as that bid (2c) over 1 NT, is used for Stayman
INVITATIONAL
8 or 9 points – a game is possible if 1 NT opener has 17 points or possibly 16 points.
With a 5 card major, transfer with the intention of bidding 2NT on your next bid to show YOU HAVE 5 CARDS IN THE SUIT AND your point count of 8 or 9 points!
INVITE—-With a 6+ card major, transfer with the intention of repeating your suit at the 3 level with 8/9 points
With no length simply bid 2NT to invite NT opener to go to game with 17 points or pass with 15 pts.
These are invitational bids.
FORCING
10+ GAME!!! Partnership belongs in Game.
With a 5 card major, transfer with the intention of bidding 3NT on your next bid – you are showing a 5 card major and 10 + pts.
With a 6+ card major, transfer with the intention of repeating your suit at the game level – 4 level.
With no length, simply bid 3NT.
Rebids by Opener:
*16 – accept with your OWN 5 card suit

Thank you my student that made me smile. So nice when people let me know they got something out of it. It’s lonely when no one hits “like” or a comment! Hugs
